Moondust is a social discovery network that helps people discover relevant connections and conversations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, profile details, photos, interview responses, interests, messages, searches, connection activity, recommendations, preferences, and settings.
We may collect location information when you allow location access. Moondust uses location to suggest nearby recommendations and connection context. We do not sell your location data.
We collect app activity and technical information, including device type, app version, log data, usage events, push notification tokens, subscription status, quota usage, and basic diagnostic information.
We may process payment and subscription status through app stores and subscription service providers. We do not directly receive or store your full payment card information.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate Moondust, including to create and maintain your account, show your profile to relevant people, recommend relevant connections, generate explanations or openers, enable connection requests, responses, related activity, messaging, search, notifications, premium features, safety tools, and support.
Some Moondust features use AI systems to help generate profile understanding, recommendation explanations, search behavior, and conversation openers. These systems may process profile information, interview answers, preferences, and connection context. Private messages are used to deliver messaging and for safety or support when needed; we do not use private messages for AI features unless we clearly say so.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand app performance, improve recommendation quality, debug issues, prevent abuse, and develop new features.
Sharing Information
We share information with service providers that help us operate Moondust, including providers for cloud hosting, storage, authentication, AI processing, notifications, subscriptions, analytics, security, customer support, and operations. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.
We may share information when required by law, to protect users or Moondust, to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party advertising unless we update this Privacy Policy and provide any required choices.
User Content and Visibility
Your profile, photos, selected profile details, and certain generated explanations may be visible to other users as part of recommendations and messaging. Messages are visible to the people in the conversation.
If you report another user or content, we may review relevant account, profile, message, or activity information to investigate and take action.
Your Choices
You can edit profile information in the app. You can manage notification preferences in the app and through your device settings. You can manage location permission through your device settings.
You can manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
You can delete your account in the app or use our account deletion instructions. You can also contact us at moondustapp@gmail.com for privacy help. We may retain certain information when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legitimate business operations.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Moondust, maintain safety, comply with law, resolve disputes, and improve the service. Some temporary operational records, such as push receipts or task claims, may expire automatically. Backup copies may persist for a limited period.
Safety and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Age Eligibility
Moondust is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to use Moondust. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may remove the account.
International Processing
Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice as appropriate. Continued use of Moondust after changes means the updated policy applies.
